Mild To Wild Mustang Car Club
    Mild To Wild Mustangs is based out of Waukegan, Illinois and welcomes members from all over the Mid-West. We are dedicated to the preservation of all Mustangs from V-6's, Boss, Shelby's, GT's, Cobra's, Mach 1's new and old whether restored, original, modified, or in the process of being restored. All are welcome!

    By Laws

  1. Article 1
    1. Name
      1. The name of the club shall be the Mild to Wild Mustang Car Club (MWMCC)
      2. The MWMCC is a non-profit organization for owners and lovers of Mustangs. We are dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of Mustangs from every era.
    2. Goals are
      1. to enhance the fun in owning and driving a Mustang and to increase our knowledge of how to maintain, to fix, to detail, to enhance performance, and/or to customize our cars.
      2. to plan and regulate functions and activites such as, but not limited to, technical advice, social gatherings, events, and aid in obtaing parts, service, and/or discounts for members.
      3. to exchange information and expertise among members and with other clubs.
      4. to assist other motorists in need of aid when such assistance is both safe and feesible.
      5. to ENJOY and have FUN.
  2. Article 2 Officers
    1. The operation of the Mild to Wild Mustang Club in all matters shall be assigned to an elected board of directors, consisting of (1) a president, (2) vice-president, (3) secertary, and (4) treasurer. The Board shall:
      1. be elected at the first club meeting in April.
      2. conduct and manage the affairs of the Club.
      3. propose such rule changes as are deemed necessary and present them to the membership for approval.
      4. conduct suspension or expulsion hearings when necessary.
    2. Voting memebers of the Club shall include all Club members in good standing. When a vote involving all Club members is necessary, a quorum shall exsist when three board members and one-half of the Club members are present. Each member shall have one vote.
    3. Club meetings shall be held at least once a month at a place determined by the Board.
    4. The president shall
      1. be a member in good standing and be in the Club for a minimum of two years prior to his/her election.
      2. formulate policy and appoint various commitees as needed.
      3. be chairperson of the Board of Directors
      4. preside at all meetings.
      5. ensure the operation of the Club within the boundaries of the By Laws.
      6. represent the Club at various functions.
      7. have such powers as are reasonably associated with the chief executive of any organization.
    5. The vice-president shall
      1. be a member in good standing and a member of the Club for at least two years prior to his/her election.
      2. assist the president in the performance of his duties and aid in securing vendors and planning activities.
      3. in the absence of the president, perform the duties and have the powers of the president.
      4. know where all Club equipment is located and make an annual listing of same for the members.
      5. represent the Club at various functions.
    6. The secretary shall
      1. be a member in good standing and a member of the Club for at least one year prior to his/her election.
      2. keep minutes of all meetings
      3. maintain an up-to-date roster of all Club members.
      4. handle club correspondence.
      5. preserve all Club correspondence, membership forms, and all other Club records.
      6. create any forms needed subject to Board approval.
    7. The treasurer shall
      1. be a member in good standing and a member for at at least one year prior to his/her election.
      2. keep all money records.
      3. maintain an itemized balance sheet of all income and expendittures.
      4. present an itemized budget for the previous year to all members at the first Club meeting of the year (in April).
      5. maintain an up-to-date Club checking account.
      6. have all checks signed by the president.
  3. Article 3 Membership
    1. To become a member of the Mild to Wild Mustang Club, a candidate must
      1. fill out a membership application.
      2. own and maintain a Mustang.
      3. attend at least three meetings to demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and willingness to participate in Club activites.
      4. be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, provide proof of current insurance, and show the vehicle's registration.
      5. be voted into the Club by a majority of the Club members in good standing using a secret ballot.
      6. once voted in, have a picture of his/her car taken and pay dues.
    2. Dues
      1. Dues shall be thirty dollars per year for members, twenty for associate members, and are non-refundable.
      2. Dues are to be paid at the first meeting in April. Any member whose dues are not paid by April 30 shall be considered not in good standing and subject to dismissal.
      3. Person elected to the Club after January shall have the dues prorated on a quarterly basis. ($7.50 or $5.00/quarter).
    3. Members
      1. are expected to participate in as many Club activities as possible.
      2. will receive a Club decal to display on your car and a numbered identification card with a list of vendors and their discounts. This card is non-transerable for the member's use only. The member must agree to surrender such card and decal to the Club if he resigns or is expelled from the Club.
      3. share knowledge about their cars with other members.
      4. can vote in Club elections and on matters before the general membership.
      5. can hold office in the Club.
    4. Associate Members
      1. must be at least sixteen years old.
      2. must attend at least three meetings and/or three events during the year.
      3. do not have a vote on Club matters but may express their opinions.
    5. Conditions for contiunual membership and member behavior include:
      1. paying his/her dues on time.
      2. following the By Laws set fourth herein and all policies of the Club.
      3. maintaing possession of a Mustang, a vaild driver's license, as well as current insurance and registration.
      4. work for the betterment of the Club.
      5. attend a majority of the Club meetings and at least four events during the calendar year.
      6. not using drugs or alcohol at any Club events.
      7. not using illegal drugs or driving while drunk
      8. conducting oneself in an appropriate manner.
    6. Liability
      1. The Mild to Wild Mustang Club assumes no liability with regaurd to members failure to comply with laws, statues, and regulations.
    7. Suspensions and Expulsions
      1. Causes include:
        1. breaking a law.
        2. violating Club By Laws.
        3. bringing unwanted negative publicity to bear on the Club.
      2. Procedures : no member may be suspended or expelled unless the following procedures are adheared to.
        1. A recommendation to expel a member must be submitted, in writing, to a Club officer, explaning the reason/s for suspension or expulsion.
        2. A special meeting of the Board of Directors will be called by the president to review the problem with both the initiator, the accused, and any other witnesses present. If the accused refuses to attend then all rights are forfeited.
        3. The Board shall review the information and vote on either suspension or expulsion.
        4. All parties will be informed of the Board's decision and the reasons for it.
        5. In the case of expulsion, the offending member has the option of resigning or attending the next general meeting when the issue will be presented to the entire membership.
        6. The final decision for expulsion shall be determined by a two thirds vote of the members present.
        7. If expulsion is determined, the offending member must immediately surrender his/her I.D. card and decals.
  4. Article 4 Club Sponsored Events
    1. must be conducted in an orderly, safe manner.
    2. have any entrance requirements, fees, regualtions, awards, judging criteria, etc, determined by the Board of Directors.
    3. have a committee to decide if any vehicle is mechanically unsafe and disqualify such vehicle.
